Heart of Creation Workshop Friday, March 26- Sunday March 28th, 2010 Atlanta School of Massage Atlanta, Georgia presented by Laurie Thorp and Chuck Cogliandro All of us came into this life to bring a unique, exquisite gift of being, and many of us still long to bring that gift into the world. Some of us don't know what that gift is; some of us simply know this deep ache inside because we have not yet opened to the fullness of our Light and Being. Some of us have manifested some of our gift and brilliance in the world and yet feel like there is a next step that we just don't yet know how to take. The focus of The Heart of Creation is to connect with, identify and open to your purpose, your reason for being, your soul's longing and to take specifc steps to bring that gift into the world. The Heart of Creation is offered to give you the space to be with your heart's longing, and provide the support and safety you need to allow your life's sacred intention to arise in a dedicated field of purpose. By bringing the experiences, skills and self-knowing you have already cultivated in your life, an energetic vessel will be formed by the group to provide spaciousness and ease for you to sit with the unknown. Support will be provided to help you consciously experience and heal the crystallized belief systems that may have been obstacles to your heart's fulfillment in any areas of your life, whether it be a meaningful work career, artistic expression, full and vibrant health, creating a nurturing home or loving relationship- you will bring the possibilities. In this workshop, our focus will be two-part. First we will focus on deepening your connection to yourself and reclaiming aspects of yourself which have been left behind, forgotten, hidden. You will explore the beliefs and "yes, buts" that hold you back and keep you from stepping fully into your Essence and bringing your Essence into the world. Once you have brought into your consciousness the things that hold you back, we will then focus on the "Unconditional Yes" that supports you in manifesting your longing in this life. You will use a myriad of “tools” to help you remember and reconnect. You will explore how your creative impulse is held in your energy field. You will work with your creative impulse which flows out from your every cell and from the center of your heart. You will work with your energy field to align with your purpose and to support you in manifesting that purpose. Elements of the weekend will include cellular movement, meditation, journaling, poetry, lecture, hands-on energy work, and the creation of a living, rhythmic group mandala. Chuck's passion since he was a child has been drumming, and he has traveled his own unique path in manifesting his musical dreams. At age 24 Chuck retired from engineering, bought a Honda CB900 motorcycle, and roamed the United States, visiting 40 states while nurturing his decision to step into his real love: music. Since 1992, Chuck's professional life as a musician has included bringing people together in the shared joy of West African drumming. He has carved, built and repaired hundreds of drums, led many performing groups, helped organize and performed with the 100-member drum tribe in the Opening Ceremonies of the Atlanta Olympic Games, and made CD, commercial and soundtrack recordings. Chuck's longing has manifested through his gifts of bringing people together in joy and celebration. He has created many groups and gatherings for himself and others to come together in an environment of trust and sharing, in order to feel safe to have an open heart. Chuck is a graduate of the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, deepening the healing work he has done with his hands through the drum. His healing philosophy includes an intention to honor each person's essence, and the knowing that each of us has the wisdom we need within. Chuck is the director of Kumandi Drums & Healing, and has a private healing practice in Atlanta.
